At Ramey you do not need registration and there is no age restriction, but poker runs can have people passing you at bad times so use your own judgement as to how young you want to take people. Personally I would not take a beginner to a poker run as well as a youngster who is not a very good rider. ALot of people think poker runs are races and go as fast as they can, passing people at any opportunity they can find. All that is required is a Helmet for riding.

The safest thing to do is to wait for the pack to get going. Most of the "racers" also want to be the first out of the gate. Give 'em 20 minutes and then take off.
