I did not know that, Lost Trails does not require reg/ins and that is what makes it attractive to NJ riders since PA & NJ do not recognize each others registration. On various poker runs I have done there is a waiver and part of it usually states that you have reg/ins but they don't actually check it. The once exception was this year at the Renovo ATV Cruise for a cure. Since DCNR was escorting the majority of the ride through the state forest trails, you had to have your cards at sign-in. Honestly its the first time in four years I ever had to show my cards.

I have been checked at SSRT, but for the sticker only, you have to send in a copy of reg/ins to get a permit for SSRT.

Yes all Waivers used by ride parks, or poker runs should have a
statement saying; All Riders and their ATV's shall comply with Pa.
ATV law. Most don't check because they simply can't be bothered
and prefer the cash flow. DCNR can come onto any place and ckeck
for illegal riding. If Brand X ride park is knowingly letting out
of state riders without proper registration and insurance, they
will soon find they will be contributing to the ATV/Snowmobile
fund. It's the Law that Park and event operators also comply with
Pa. ATV law.

I am pretty sure the first time I ever went to Lost Trails, the first park, they needed insurance/registration. The second time I went you didn't, I thought it was weird. Maybe they found away around it. Who knows.

Yes, the first year they required it, but didn't check, then I think it was in the 2nd year they dropped the requirement.

the cheapest place i know of is marienville pa $35 a year whos cheaper than that ? plus its free camping what more could you ask for? and there is 2 trail systems

yes, it a good deal, but if its the only place, i'd get bored. there are 3 trail systems at marionvile, and if you count the rest of anf, there are 5

SSRT is $15 a year, that is the cheapest I have seen.

Liability Insurance
If you are using your ATV solely on land owned or leased by you, you are not required to get liability insurance. All other riders must carry liability insurance. Proof of that insurance must be carried with you when you ride. There are no minimum requirements or coverage standards established by DCNR or the Snowmobile/ATV Law for the liability insurance.
