Who on here belives that rock runs $18 a day is too much. And the $125 season pass is too much.

For a dollar a day, I still would'nt ride there.

Pay $50 for a years pass and head to Hatfield/McCoy.
100 fold better riding. ANF is only $35 per year, and
SSRT I believe is cheaper for the year then it is for
a one day rock run pass. Rock run just sort of sucks.

If you think it is to much don't go there, how simple is that! LOL!! There's plenty of other places to go and you don't have to go to WV to ride. How would going to WV be less expensive than Rock Run any how? Its further to travel and you'll need some sort of lodging. Sounds expensive to me. I'm not a fan of pay to play areas cause I got tons of free riding where I live. But if its all you got I would imagine you would have to take in the cost of traveling to other cheaper places before you decided how expensive or how cheap a place is to ride. LOL!!

no it is not to HIGH. had a great ride there yesterday.

i live pretty close, about 1/2 hour away and i've only been there 3 times. both of the "ride till midnight events" and one of the $5 days.
i agree that $18/day is a bit much. if i spent $20 a day to ride, it wouldn't be terrible, but if i take the wife and kids that same ride would cost me over $100.
Tri-County costs me about the same for a YEAR as RR would for 1 day.
H/M is sweet and i've been there a few times, but chris is right, making that drive every weekend just isn't feasible.
SSRT is $15 per machine per year, you can't beat that with a stick!
i also have plenty of local riding, but i have been riding those same trails for 30 years, and i like to see some new scenery once in a while. besides, my kids don't enjoy the ensuing police chase ......... LOL

I think the price is reasonable. Rock Run $18.00, Mines and Meadows $25.00, Lost Trails $35.00. The days of free, hassle free riding are pretty much over. Yes Rock Run is owned by the state but it is a pretty big park to maintain and that cost money.

Those days aren't over yet, there is plenty of FREE riding. Whiskey Springs and Bloody Skillet are probably the best free riding the state has to offer and now with your SSRT membership you can ride from SSRT to Bloody Skillet and hopefuly some day you could continue on to Whiskey Springs and Potter county. As long as the state offers free riding places I'm gonna use them.

I see your point, but state riding isn't free. We pay registration and insurance to be legal to ride there. Those areas are great places to ride, but aren't necessarily convenient to all riders.

Neither are the pay to play area's! None of them are with'n an hour of my house. LOL!! But all the FREE state trails are. Registration and insurance and gas for the quad I never consider in my spending to ride. But the fuel for my truck, the lodging, and meals I do. Registration and insurance and gas for the quad are things I am supposed to have in order to ride on anything other than private property in this fine state of Pennsylvania. LOL!! I have rode some pay to play places but none of them had anything to offer that was better than what I could ride at WS or BS or even just around my house. But exploring new places is fun though. LOL!! I'm just saying if Rock Run is closest place to ride, it more than likely is the cheapest. If not why waste your money if you think its to much.
