We ride PA year around, have been for the past 20+ years now. Best ATV state, period imo.

This is something I just accomplished about two weeks ago with a friend who is a paraplegic from a motorcycle accident 2 plus years ago. I posted pictures on Facebook and some of the videos on YouTube. We learned from trial and error how to tie him to the quad. He made it 60 miles and 6 hours out on the trial. He had the time of his life and want's to go again soon.

I think that is very cool Al ! Someone to go to that length to enjoy a day of riding, you have earned my respect that's for sure.

thats awesome ! i believe everone should have the opportunity to ride.
i think i saw somwhere a customized rhino for a parapalegic
it had a racing belt, hand controls (gas/brake opperated by right hand) and ther bed was equipped to hold his wheelchair
....maybe a year ago atv action or dirtwheels

The thing about this is he want's to get his own quad and asked me to help him pick one out. Of course I said yes. I told him we should look into some type of saddle like they use one a horse or contact someone who make saddles to see if they can make some type of retrofit for a quad similar to what you would use for a horse. I didn't check into it as of now but I don't see that as something that should be hard to retrofit. That just me thinking, I may find out differently when I talk to someone who makes saddles.

I am confident they can help you on this task. They have done many custom atv / utv retro fitting for paraplegic persons.
