Thought I'd post here since there a PA location.

We really enjoy SSRT, but are looking to expand the "standard" fare.

Wondering if anyone has ridden from the West end of SSRT out to Hogs Galore (south of Philipsburg on 322)?

GPS tracks? Anyone familiar with that area?

That's pretty far from where the main trail ends and its even further than the town of Munson & Casanova. I don't think I would drive that far on main roads or back woods to get there.

There is a decent bar/resteraunt in Casanova, ironically named Casanova as well that we go to almost every time were up there but their hours changed and their not always open now. I haven't been up there
since but I found that out from another site.

Call me crazy but I found a way to that place...that is if it isn't developed or changed at all from the satelite images.

My suggestion first would be to call and ask if they dont' mind muddy/dirty quad riders coming in and eating at their establishment. Then ask them if it is appropriate or allowed to come in from the power line or railroad bed from the back of the property and then go from there!

I quick mapped it, you can get mostly there by taking the railroad bed most of the way (Philipsburg Branch, not the main Beech Creek Railroad) but I saw just past Coaldale the bed was posted as private property. You would have to divert off the railbed before then I would guess. I only rode the railbed to Coaldale and turned back when I saw the signs.

No we got within one mile we could smell it and there is a rr trussle that someone did some work on so not to go across it.

Redecked? or posted that you couldn't cross it. Do you have a map of the route you took, there might be a workaround.

You have to travel by back road from SSRT to get back on the railroad bed for Hogs Galore. Its not easy due to posted property if your not from around here. Gump, that railroad bed at the bridge was dug out by a man that does not even own the property and the only person it hurt was his own son when he drove across it. (from what I hear).
