Looking to get my kids out that weekend. was hoping for rock run, but looks like they are closed... i have not had the chance to get the kids there certificates yet, so state land and other places that require (enforce) it are out... was already out to lost trails and wanted to try to somewhere else, maybe a little less rocky... my 8 year old was beat up after riding there.
thoughts?
what is the deal with trevorton... same as RAC?

yeah... was looking at that - 5+ hour drive... but considering it. worth the drive?

You can tent over night, might be a little nippy though. There are motels about 6 miles away in bradford, and there might be something the other way towards emporium.
As far as the trails, they are fun trails, ups and downs, a mud section, very well marked into 3 different systems. And a motocross track, pretty much rockless. You would have to check the website to see if the food stand is open. Looks as if several are already interested in the week after, free to veterens, and the food stand will be open. thinking of going myself, but only if staying at camp that weekend.

thanks in advance! Rock Run is open until this weekend...the 30th... October 30 will the the last day of the season. We will open up again the first weekend in April 2012. Kurt

Tinwood is just a place to park and camp. Your on your own out on the trail up in Trevorton/Shamokin it's not like Rock Run. Is Shadowflag familiar with the riding area and how rough it is plus the mud holes will swallow you up if you don't know them.
