The first part of this is off the AOAA website, and is regarding the thought of a new ATV club to help and support the new AOAA Park. Helping get this park up and running is going to be nothing short of incredible for the economy in the area, and will also help us to promote safe, responsible riding, and help us to further our relationships with all Government agencies invovled with our sport. If you live near the area and can make the meeting please do so and post an update. Dennis Felty the ground guy for CCR rides will be attending this meeting and can help to familiarize anyone with the people and agenda. Just ask for the Mayor of Coal Town!!!!;


"I was contacted by Kathy Jeremiah, the Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area (AOAA) Project Coordinator, to see if there would be any interest in starting a local ATV club to help promote and support the proposed AOAA off road facility. The County has entertained dozens of out of the area ATV clubs with the help of some local riders.

What we would like to do is start a formal group of local off road enthusiasts (primarily ATV) and get them involved with promoting, building and using the AOAA on a local level. What better way to promote and develop the AOAA then to have a local group of riders who know this area so well give tours to people that come from outside the area. This will give other riders (local or beyond) that might be on the fence about wanting the AOAA, an opportunity to be directly involved with it. We have an opportunity as locals to build the AOAA as "our facility". Other activities like trail cleaning and cutting new trails would be considered which in turn could help in getting a discount rate on admission and use of the facilities.

Currently I'm just looking to see how many of you think this would be a good idea and would be interested in starting and/or being a part of the AOAA local club (club name to be determined in the near future). If you know of any other local ATV riders that might be interested, please reply back with their email/contact information.

"Hello! I am excited to announce that were are holding the first meeting of the AOAA ATV club at Brewser's Sports Grille in Shamokin. The date is set for Wednesday, November 30th at 6:30. Cathy Jeremiah and Pat Mack from AOAA will be there to get everyone up to date on the project and kick start the ATV club in motion so that it's up and running for the beginning of the new year. I will send out a reminder the day of the meeting. Hope to see everyone there!

I believe [BE NICE] Lepely is in on this already. I am surprised at how much time and effort people are putting into making this park happen. Its gonna be great, but there are some that are not happy about it at all.

I am in close contact with Jamie, Dennis and the man starting it, Matt. I have to believe Jammie will keep us up to date, and if not I will post up. This is going to be an escellent bolster for the planned park, and the more people who ride there responsibly, and are a part of it will help to make it a huge assett on our parts!
