Anyone do any riding up there. I ride a yamaha Rhino and looking for more people to ride with. Usually head up every other weekend.

I try to head up with my buddy every now and then, we both have sport quads.

It's been too long since i've ridden there. Probably almost a year. I want to try to get up in the next month or so.

We should all meet up there sometime, I'm game.

Just moved into the area.. Looking for information on the Trevorton / Shamokin Trail Systems. Planning a ride here in a few weeks and looking to get as much info as needed? Any info would help.. where to park? Best trails for Dirtbikes?.. Or would you recommend the Bloody Skillet ride instead.. Or even local trails through the Bald Eagle Forrest? Anyone? Anyone?

I'm in for a Trevorton ride. Right now it would probably be the first sunday in November til I could do it with Halloween coming up and the kids stuff going on.

Geo, Bloody Skillet is closed for hunting season and dirtbikes are never allowed on their trails. Trevorton is a good place to ride, you need a Rac permit to ride there but many people ride without one.

Well, you really don't need a permit for Treverton. I asked the lady in front of a fellow rider, and she said no its not there property. 1/4 of it is, but that's all. She showed us the points on the map, which is the one they give yea when you do buy a permit, and it showed it was not RAC land. But than again, there is always someone that will dispute this and say the opposite. Go park on the flats and you will be safe!!

I am def. down for whatever weekend. I am looking for some new people to ride with. I was told by numerous people that a permit is not required there. I have only been there 3 times so not that familiar with the trails. A week ago we parked at the coal pile and actually rode about 30 miles away and made it back. I am going to look into some kinda GPS. I was trying to head up this weekend but am waiting on a tire to show up so I dont think that will happen but am looking to head up next weekend.

That's good news if permits aren't required for Trevorton. I was always told you should have them there. The maps Donna gave us didn't reach over into the county that Trevorton is in, so I was never sure. The Rac map I have is only good for the county that Pottsville and St. Clair are in. I'll have to post when the next time we get up and hook up with some of you guys.
