2012 Templeton ride ....

Looks like ya had a pretty good day!

it was a nice day for a ride. was there a big turnout? looks like alot of trucks and jeeps

The turnout seemed pretty good for a winter ride . The upper / summer parking lot had about 15-20 vehicles . The lower lot where I parked looked to have another 30-40 vehicles . It was a nice mix of ATV , UTV , Motorcycle and Jeep / Rockcrawl buggies . Everybody seemed to respect one another no matter what you were driving . As you can see in a couple pics , we enjoyed watching some of the Jeeps do thier thing on the rocks .

You'll all probably get to see ( MY ) failed attempt at the rocks . A certain member here decided it was more important to get a phone video of me high centered on a boulder , than to pull me off . Thankfully his buddy came to the rescue with his winch .

I honestly can't wait for the next invite to go do some more exploring . I had the pleasure of meeting one of Steve's friends ( sorry , did'nt get his name ) while warming up at the fire . He was pointing in every direction to help me locate all the trails they had cleared for the event . Unfortunately I did'nt have enough time to check them all out . I did catch up with JIM ( member here ) and his buddies and followed them onto a UTV EXTREME trail . We seemed to be half way up a small stream / rock crawl when I noticed they had turned around and were coming BACK DOWN . I managed to finangle the Teryx back around on this TIGHT uphill trail ( Morgan was NOT happy with me !!!!! ) , only to see 3 RZR's waiting to get thier shot at it . I told them the 4x4 quads could'nt make it and went on our way . It will be something to see when the WORCS racing circuit gets the trails a little more broke in for us pleasure trail riders . I also got the scoop , that Steve and his AWRCS's crew put on one heck of a party for the racers . So ( IF ) he would ever do something like this for a FUN RIDE Event , I GUARANTEE you will NOT want to miss it . Again , I wish Steve & his WORCs crew the best of luck on the new ride area ....

Always a good turnout for stillers rides, lots of everything, didn't see any gulf carts though. 4 of us stayed on the red trails, really nice and tight in many places, with some ups and downs and a dropoff(one of the pics)

Thanks for everyones positive comments on the park, We will be doing select events and opening on some weekends this year and renting it out some to clubs,partys. We had a little over 300 people through the doors for our first winter ride. Firehall sold all of there food! Which I thank everyone as they are paying for a new building. Also have red bank outfitter's to provide tubes and kayaks in warmer season to see more of the mahoning creek which is over 40 feet wide and a few feet deep in most places. We are doing a AWRCS race june 9th & 10th this year. Having a big atv/utv run july 27th,28th & 29th. Another AWRCS race, true 100 miler with bands and other family activities throughout weekend and Monday open ride since its a holiday Sept. 1st through 3rd. We have racing for 3 and up to bigger kids 60+ on atv/pitbike/dirtbike. All the top pro's come out and first to do 100 miles wins cash prizes and bragging rights. Usually takes around 4.5 hours of pure racing man verse maching staying together!! Again, thanks for all the good feedback and see yeah out on the trail.

I have done the redbank poker run. Are these the same trails? Are these open anytime to ride? Is there a fee & where do we park? Sorry for so many questions. Just interested in local areas to ride. I also rode in Templeton another time with a guy from the rzrforum and loved the area.

Blazinhi87 , Steve gave the most updated info so far in his post about future events . At events they will show you where to park . They charge a fee to ride at each event . The Grand Open House was $20 per machine and $5 for a passenger .

Saw this truck out and had to take a picture.

That was a crazy looking Jeep. It had 1 ton Rockwell axles under it. Wish I could have seen him in the Rock Garden .
