What is your definition of an ATV?

Why is your ATV so special or different from others?

Pure relaxing fun. Mine is special for me because it lets me lose all my stress and frustation of the daily ratrace.

Philosophically; its a completely different type of freedom, and a vehicle to push things right to the edge while maintaining a (likely false) sense of control.

Cruising wooded trails in the summer when its 15 degrees cooler under the canopy, and just rolling down the trail. Then you hit the end of the woods, open the SOB up and see how far you can take it. We get to go places most people will never see, and do things most will never do. We get to see things that have been left behind and forgotten to the rest of the world. It allows us to nurture the Outlaw, the Explorer, and the Daredevil in all of us, that little badass we all have. Mostly the camaraderie we all seem to share while riding, except for the occasional jackass, Ive never been around a more accepting and genuinely happy group of people, no matter where Im at.

This is my ATV. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My ATV is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my ATV is useless. Without my ATV, I am useless. I must ride my ATV true. I must ride straighter than my Buddy, who is trying to beat me. I must beat him before he beats me. I will. Before God I swear this creed: my ATV and myself are defenders of my country, we are the masters of our enemy, we are the saviors of my life. So be it, until there is no enemy, but peace. Amen.

Fun, commeraderie and something to tinker on for hours and hours and hours.

Pretty much the same as everyone. ATVs are a way to get out and away from the stesses of work and life in general. Get out into nature away from everthing else. And there's nothing better than hitting a technical trail with hill climbs and rocks crawls. It gives ya that little feeling of accomplishemnt. Plus ya really get some good commradary with your riding buddies.
the only real reason my ATV is special, is cuz it's mine! It just an 08 Grizzly 700 with a few mods to make it more "me".

To me it's the need for adventure . Wanting to take the road or in this case , trail less traveled . Not wanting to see the beautiful rugged landscape and forests from the window of a vehicle driving down a road . An ATV allows you to escape the urban sprawl and venture deep into the forests and hills to areas most people on foot can only read about and never have the time to see . ATVing requires you to focus on your immediate surroundings . That focus helps you to relax and leave every day troubles behind . It brings out the survivalist in me by needing to bring along gear to deal with almost any situation I may find along the trail far from help . ATVing also helps me as a father to show my child there is a world to explore out there away from the TV , electronics and malls . Being a curiouse child , she always has to have her critter container along . You never know what you may find relaxing during a break in the forest along a cool flowing trout stream . I hope some day she'll look back and fondly remember all of the adventures and fun we had with family & friends ATVing in Pa.
