Since the ANF trails aint open we're gonna do Mines and Meadows Saturday 28 Jan instead. Planning on being there at 10ish. I'll be coming from the north, if anyone wants to link up at the Grove City Exit off I79 I'll be there at 9.

I should be off work so I'm in either way. If we can get some kind of estimated head count I can probably stop in there and see if Bob can give us some kind of group rate or discount for a large group....

Chaser & I talked . I'll bring the firepit & firewood for hotdogs . I'll also have the propane Hibachi. I bought 16 dogs & buns & chips to share so no one is left out . I'll fill the 2 pot coffee dispencer up also and bring some styro-cups . We always have juice boxes for the little ones . I'll have my cargo trailer , so if anyone needs to get warmed up on break , we should be good .

Would everyone like to meet by the office on Old Route 18 at 10 am ?

Just called them . Everyone will need proof of registration & liability insurance . If you print and fill out the liability waiver ahead of time , we'll spend less time in the office and get on the trails sooner . While in the office we can also sign up for a time slot for the underground mine tour which is an extra $5 per machine . The tours are usually at 12 noon , but depending on how many riders are signed up for the day , they could schedule more than 1 tour. I can tell you once in the mine goggles & windshields fog up quickly . Carry a rag or towel so you can quickly clear things to see . Also it is absolute darkness . If you have extra auxilary lights , you'll want to have them working and ready . Camera lenses will fog also . You'll want to keep them warm inside your coat before entering the mine . I'll bring my auxilary camera flash. It helps alot for a possible group pic in the darkness .

10:00 should be perfect. It should be nice and messy tomorrow. With all the rain and possible snow showers it should make for a great ride.

You guys suck! I would love to make this trip. I'll have to wait till our may trip. Hope some of you will be able to make that trip. Take lots of pics to post on here to make all of us that can't make it jelous.

And whenever you take that photo a malicious force of ghouls will show up in the photo later when you review it.

IF YA GOT HIP WADERS WEAR EM!!!!! Im thinking about just painting a pair of cotton footie onesies with liquid latex, and using them on sloppy days. Maybe they have clear latex so I can still see the little bunnies and teddy bears!!!

Now THAT would make a GOOD picture & story for Rec Rider...

hope you guys had a great time, I could not make it, but I wore my M&M t-shirt today

Just got back from M and M. Had a great time! The RZR did good, got a good feel for it by the end of the day. Not bad for a maiden voyage! Wish there was a little mud, though. The trail was dusty today (NOT !!!!!).

We had a great time as we always do with members from here . Only one casualty , but thankfully it was a quad and not a person . An Artic Cat sucked in some water in a deep mudhole. Towed him to the camping parking lot . Ran for his truck & trailer . Got loaded just in time for the Mine Tour and John the tour guide let him ride in his SXS so no one missed out on the Mine tour. Headed back to the vehicles for a late lunch cooked up by Chaser and his custom TOOL BOX ..... After getting full bellies , we headed out for another mud slinging ride . They mistakenly allowed me to lead this time , so..... I found the ROCK CRAWL!!!!!! We all survived , but Tim.D's new RZR got it's first of I'm sure many future scuffs . His RZR may have been purchased used , but dang that thing looked better than new . He & his wife are another great addition to our ride groups . I'm downloading pics now . I'll get em up ASAP .

Thanks for the kind words! Had a very enjoyable day with some great folks from the ATVingPA.com! Very happy to be part of the group! My wife slept the whole way home which is not unusual. What IS unusual is that she was still strapped into to the RZR!!!!

It was a nice day for a ride. With all the rain we had lately it made for some nice "little" mudholes. It was great to meet everyone and put some faces with screen names. I don't understand how Jake fell asleep 5 minutes up the road when I did all the work? I really look forward to the next ride so we can all meet up, and ride again!

Looks fun. I got this get to this place sometime. Boy had 2 bball games today or i would have made the venture

Nice to meet some of you guys, even if it was breifly. My wife wasn't too pleased with me and was ready to go. Maybe next time I will try to tag along again, hopefully I won't start the day with the wrong bunch. If its warmer than 55 my wife will come out too.

its a nice trailer so you can just use ramps to ride two of them on sideways and don't have to slide them around and all that hassle.. hope you guys all had fun on the ride!

It was nice meeting everyone & riding with you all. Once the rain stopped it turned out to be a beautiful muddy day too! The mine tour was excellent as well. Defiantly will have to go back there in the summer when there is more daylight. Also 4x4dad & BIGJIM you have a couple of great kids, they're pretty good entertainment during downtime.

Thanks Yota, we will definately have to do it again. I won't be done with my initial training until the end of March, so I probably won't know my schedule til then...

Just got done washing the Grizz. Man that thing was covered in 2" of mud!!!

Mine to . Sprayed about 40 lbs of mud from underneath the fenderwells .
