I recently decided to upgrade the shocks & struts on my truck since the originals only had 114,000 miles on them...LOL. I decided to go with the Rancho RS9000's. I saw they made a "Quickstrut" that was designed to level the front end and take out the factory rake on my 2004 F-150. Rancho calls it the "QuickLift". After going to the website and looking up the part # and watching the "instructional video" I saw that Tenneco was running their "buy 3 get the 4th free" Shocktober promotion, and that solidified my decision. I googled the part # and sorted by price to see who had the best price and I came across Autoplicity.com at $153. I thought surley this can't be right, and if it was they would probably charge some rediculous S&H charges to make up the difference. The local part store wanted $230 a piece so I figured I would look a little closer at Autoplicity.com. Well for both front Quickstruts and both rear shocks, I paid $23.83 in shipping. shock I ended up getting all 4 shocks and struts for $495 with shipping, and now I'm getting back $83 from Rancho from the mail in rebate. So for a little over $400 I got everything for a lot less than if I would have got it from Advance Auto Parts. It definitely pays to shop around!

I worked for Advance Auto parts for about 7 years and know the business quite well. I actually went there with a printout of my order with shipping and everything included with a copy of their price matching policy saying that they will match any competitors price, even internet vendors with shipping. The manager said, "I can't match that price because it is below my cost". I tried to give them a chance to make a $500 sale, since I know most of the guys who work there, and I buy all my parts there. They said the new District Mananger wouldn't allow them to do it because the price was too low.

Good choice on the rs9000's now if you like more control from in cab check out the myride system from Rancho. I had it in my tundra and was a nice feature for different driving and road conditions ! Enjoy and good shopping.

I was actually already considering it after laying on the ground to dial in the rears...LOL. The fronts I can easily get to just by turning the steering wheel to one side then the other. I've read a few reviews on Myride and the only complaint I saw was quite a few people saying they had leaks at the fittings causing the pump to run constantly. I'm sure most of those were installer error though. Maybe Santa will come early this year (Hopefully Santa does installation also).
