Just installed HID lights from Eagle eye, wow what a diff in lighting and the whole job took 2 hours. They are true plug and play. Cant wait to use these at night!

About how much does a kit like that run (for reference), if you don't mind me asking? I bet it looks good compared to stock.

It was $212.00 delivered to the door. If you do the math, if you buy a good set of warns it will run you 3-5 hundred bucks and sticks will ram it or dismount them. If you buy a cheap set for 30 bucks how long will they last?

They make a heck of a difference at night. If you get ebay cheapies like me I got them for just about $50 for the slim ballast kit. Well worth it!

Light upgrades are something I may have to look into next

Davey, How long have you had the ebay cheapies? Have you had any problems with them since you got'em?

I've only had the HID's on the quad since October and have only ran them a few times but have had no problems. I've tried the cheaper brands in my vehicles and could never get any long term usage out of them before replacing a bulb or ballast/igniter. I have the MCCULLOCH brand HID lights in my expedition and they have been going strong for over 5 years now.

I just have one in the low beam, I think I'll try throwing one in the high beam as well and see how the voltage does, I've done away with my handlebar blob long ago so everything is just straight wired.
