engine oil and filter brands

I use Mobil 1 0w40 in my Polaris's. I get it at Walmart. Its cheaper than the Polaris oil at my local dealer. I still use the Polaris filter, still looking for a quality aftermarket filter to use.Any suggestions? Thanks.

I run Wix filters on all my wheelers and snowmobiles. If you take it to your local auto parts store they should be able to match you up.

Any tips on getting the filter off, I changed the oil and filter last week on my wife's sportsman 300. It was the first change and I had a heck of a time wrestling the filter off. It was n extremely tight.

in my cars i've had to jam a screw driver thru the filter before so i could use the screw driver to turn in

Use one of the rubber filter wrenches or I usually use a large pair of channel lock and crush the end of the filter down and twist it off the the pliers.

If you can get a hand on it, I sometimes use @ a 2" piece of sandpaper or emery cloth. The extra grip can help alot. The newer Polaris oil is supposed to be 2W-50, which no one else makes(big surprise,huh?)  I priced the Amsoil 0W-40 and wix filters...you really don't save much, so i just stick with the Popo oil change kit.
