I was curious if anyone has snorkeled thier Brute Force. I have read on other forums that they catch water easily and it gets sucked into engine but I think that might come from riders more in the south where there is more mud and water riders. Anyone have any thoughts?

I have had two Brutes and both were snorkeled. If you don't ride in alot of water then its not a big deal. However, if you do splash around or like the occasional mudhole its not a bad idea. Cheap insurance is the way I always look at it. Brute's intake is kinda of exposed (at least on the 07 mine was). Let me know if you need snorkeling instructions. I have a how to for that too. Its pretty easy. We did both of mine in about 2hrs a piece. About 75 bucks for the materials.

I know it's a bit old, but I have my Brute snorkled and it works fine. The stock design isn't the best in my opinion so I decided to snorkle it. Like McFly said it's added insurance and if you take your time it's not to bad. I don't think mine even cost $50. Probably closer to $25

McFly, If you get a chance shoot me your How to, I have been thinking about doing this for a while, it makes the exploring a little easier on the mind when you know you have that protection.

Look under the "How To" section of the Techincal/Performance forum. Click in the "Engine" specific forum and there is a link there to snorkel your Brute. They are very easy instructions to follow. It tells you the exact number and size of pieces you need. They just click on the links and they show photos as well.

Every utility I have ever owned has been snorkeled one way or another. It usually the first mod that I do to a bike. I like to know I can go deep without buying a a new motor. AND THE V TWINS ARE THE WORST AT TAKING ON WATER!!!!
