Ok, my wifes ride is a Grizzly 550. She has very small hands and is having trouble with the throttle position. I added a kolpin throttle extender, but the design of the throttle itself makes the extender sit even further from the hand grip (I can barely reach it with my hands).

I was hoping that someone knew of an outfit that made longer throttle levers (like Billet or something) for a '12 Grizzly. Anyone know of anything? If I can find something decent I may add one to the Brute as well.

I tried extenders on wife's can am and my prairie but wouldn't fit. I cut a stiff piece of plastic and zip-tied it to throttle, brings it out further and works great.

did you zip tie it to the back of the throttle? The extender that I have makes it much longer but, because the throttle has a "bulb" on the end, it causes the extender to come away from the hand grip even more.

the early 700's used the same throttle lever as the 700 raptors. not sure if your '12 would be the same or not. you could check the only parts fiche and see if the new 700/550's use the same throttle levers as the '07/'08's. if it does, the aftermarket makes plenty of billet throttle levers for the Raptor

Yeah, I'm gonna call the dealer and see if they can provide me with a pn for the grizz and matching sporty.

No Luck, Doesn't look like anything will match the (2009+) Grizz. sux.

Double check your throttle extender to see if it's like the one we have. I'm almost certain I put a kolpin extender on my wifes. I think it's the type with the thumb piece that can be pulled in and out a couple positions and even removed without removing the clamp piece. I didn't notice at first but on hers the thumb piece was bendable and feels like it has thin metal under the rubber. I was able to bend it closer to the bars for her.

Mine are "Coleman" adjustable non slip. I guess I need to re-do it for her when she's in a better mood and I have a little more patience.

took her out to go for a ride on sunday. went a whole 2.5 miles before the bitchin started. I got fed up and turned around and loaded up the machines to go home. banghead

I pretty much knew it was going to be a bad day...Pocono race kept me from taking the boat out. It's boatin' season after all.
