Just wanted to say Hi and compliment you on the forum. It has a nice look and community feel. You folks are blessed to have the trails that you do. There is no legal riding area available where we live. Driving Upstate is the only option for New Yorkers.

My 11 year old son and I have made several trips to Lost Trails and enjoy riding there. It has been our go to place for two years and has allowed him to grow from a small , Chinese 110cc into the Suzuki Ozark that he currently rides.

We will be returning to Lost Trails soon , but plan on experimenting with other locations also. If anyone has suggestions for non rocky trails that have limited steep hills and are open to non PA residents, I would be glad to hear the,. Primarily, I am interested in locations in Eastern PA as we live in Eastern Long Island and we want to limit our travel time.

Thanks
John

Welcome to ATVingPa John!! A lot of good atv people and stuff on here.

Let me pitch the ride that me and a few other members of this forum put on. See the Tar Hollow Ride post on the list to the left. Feel free to ask us any questions either on that topic or PM me if you would rather. If your son can ride the Lost Trails, he should not have any problem with the main trail at Tar Hollow. Our trails do have some rocky sections but the trail is not all rock. Plus, since it is only open twice per year, the trails stay nice.

Also, maybe look into the NWORC. That trail opens April 1st. If you wanna check it out, I live right next to it and can take you on a guided tour if you want. It's an old railroad bed so it's pretty flat and smooth.

Thanks for the welcomes.

Dirtfan, thanks for the information and the kind offer. I Googled NWORC, it looks interesting. How long is that trail? It looks like something that could work for us. Perhaps even in conjunction with a Lost Trails trip.

Tar Hollow may be an issue due to its limited time access. We have a narrow window of opportunity for quad trips.

I believe the NWORC trial is about 13 miles long? Not positive; I just got my first quad with a speedometer/trip last year and never clocked it, lol!! Mikeexplorer on here is a long-time member of the NWORC and could prob give you more details. I live just a little past the northern end of the NWORC system. Give me a little notice and I could meet up with you and show you around. The Orson Inn, where you can buy the permit, is only a few miles from my house
