Well the income tax return should be showing up this week or next and it's time for a new helmet and goggles. I currently have an AFX that I am not happy with the liner is falling apart and it's not a removable one. I'm very partial to Scott goggles IMO they're the best. I got my eye on a HJC CL-X6 helmet, anyone have any ideas, input or opinions please bring them on.

Get one like this and you will be set you do not have to fumbel around with goggles....a lot better and it keeps more dust out of your face. pull the sheld up and down wit ease....Just my $.02 but i would never go back to a MX style.

I've got an HJC CL-Max with a flip-up shield if that's what you mean . Bought it before I sold my street bike .Used it one time on an early April road trip down the coast . Nice helmet for us eyeglass wearers . Never used it for off road yet .

Yup thats what i use on my atv and love it...Alot better than the hole MX thing.....

i don't know what kind my new helmet is but my old was a THH. i have used my full face streetbike helmet before also

If you are looking at a full face helmet you may want to consider a modular type. I like mine because if I just want to stop and get a drink I don't have to take off my helmet.(no embarassing helmet head either)

How does it "lock" into place? I would hate for it to flip up in a crash.

The helmet will not flip up if you encounter a roll over or accident. They lock into place using a latch system. I have a Modular helmet that I use for snowmobiling and will never go back to a regular fixed one. They are much more comfortable and very easy to use. The entire snowmobile industry is steering towards these now. There are worth every penny.

For my ATV days I have a motocross helmet and I use Scott goggles with the tearoff system. This system works best for me. Once the goggles get dirty or you get mud on them, tearoff a piece of plastic and your good to go. If you have to constantly wipe off your full face lense you risk scratching the beejeezus out of it (been there done that)

X2 on the Scott tear off for muddy/dusty conditions,love em. I also use Scott goggles without tear offs for those days with good riding conditions.
