When should The drive belt be replaced? I beat the crap out of my Polaris 700, and I maintain it very well.I have 800 miles on it. Every year I take my drive belt off for inspection and clutch cleaning. The belt still looks new. The only info I found was to inspect it every 100 hours. The belt is pretty pricy so I don't want to replace it if I don't have to. Any one got any input on when I should replace it? I know if I call my dealer they will tell me I need a new one. lol

I tell all people that come in the shop that it is good to do at 1000 miles. just so you don't eat up the clutch.

Is that the 116 belt or the 113? one of them is near 100 bucks, the other is same as the rzr belts. is your ebs?

not sure about polaris, but yamaha gives you width specs to determine when the belt is worn. i replaced my first belt with 3200 miles on it and it was fine. i do however check it twice a year along with servicing the clutch etc.
the last belt i replaced on a polaris was on a 400 sportsman and it was a genuine polaris belt for about $45 at East American Motorsports
