I have plans along the line somewhere of a snowmobile motor slipping into the frame here soon. Gonna rebuild the old motor and sell it off if anyone here needs one. Got the sled sitting here, just gonna take a little fabrication. Can anyone say 600 triple??? [img:left][/img]

As of right now we are having issues with the brakes. We have a rolling chassis, just no brakes. Needs a new master cylinder and all new calipers and lines. The brake fluid must have gelled from it sitting in the other guys garage. Total nightmare.

On a good note, we have the motor and primary and fuel system ready to go. Bought a Skidoo Rave 583 motor to stick in er'. Should prove to be interesting

Will do 4x4. I would definetly enjoy running it at the drags. We are still working on the brake issues. I have all new components coming for it. I didn't really trust the brake design so we are going to also use the snoowmobile brakes as well since the brakes and disc are mounted to the clutch. That way we have a little bit of a built in safety factor.

Just reinforced the frame last night. Gave it some gusset welds and some other stuff.

I'll keep you guys updated. once we get close to finishing it we'll throw some pictures up and videos.

Sorry for the crappy pics. We are back at it. Took a little time to get the custom motor mount figured out but the motor is in and were mocking everything up.

Well everything is in. This walkaround video is a couple days old so it doesnt show the gas tank mounted in the rear either but here is everything in a nut shell.

Ok so here is the deal. Fires up great. Everything electrical is perfect and she runs like a top. The only problem is the primary clutch on the sled motor is sticking. This is causing the drive belt to always spin until you shut it down. If you watch the video you can see at the very end when the motor is winding down the clutch snap and kick back into place. I guess I am going to tear it down and clean it and see whats up with it. If anyone else has some suggestions on to what is causing it please chime in. Sorry for the poor video.....just wanted to get the driveline in the video.

I know that my clutch was creeping, thats one of the reasons I installed the kit. Well anyway, the pivot bolts for my fly weights were rusted and the weights were sticking. I think that was my problem cause thats the only problem I found and it doesn't creep anymore. I cleaned off the rust then I sprayed the bolts with white grease then I wiped off the grease before reinstalling the bolts.( i didnt want any dirt clinging to the bolts just wanted to stop them from rusting). I don't know if this will help but thats my $.02

Project has been completed. And its stupid fast and stupiud scary when your on the gas. Almost downright dangerous. Its one of those things that I didnt need to build but just wanted to. Sorry about the delay in pics. It is buried in the shed right now. Next time she comes out I'll get some pics and videos.

Its fun to ride for 15 minutes. After that I need to be on something else. Not something I would choose to trail ride with all day
