Anybody ever ride at Mountain Ridge park? Is it nice? I live close to it but never rode at a park before. Just getting back into riding if I have to pay to play I would like to know if it's worth it. I hope it is I can be there in 15 mins.

I was there for two Quadfests (2006 & 2007) and enjoyed the trails. They have just about any kind of trail you could desire. I have not been back since they put the windmill farm on the land. I would like to get back there and spend a weekend camping and riding when there's not 5,000 people in the park. I would recommend it. If I lived in western PA I would definitely have an annual membership there.

i was there once and was not impressed. i might go check it out again since they put in the windmill farm.

Im sorry you guys didn't like the park. Did you attend Quadfest(s) or were you at the park another time? The first year I attended QF the trails were much better than the second (they had different trails open each year). But, I can't see why you weren't impressed. They have a MX track, several obstacle/time trial courses, drag strip, mud bog pit, cross country trails, ROCKs beyond ROCKY course and much more.

The bad...

There was way too many people in the park (4,600 people) for the event. It was too dusty. The drive out to the park was a drag too.

Poorly maintained, just before each QuadFest, Tri County ATV and Recreation would send a plethora of their volunteers to the park and these same folks would have to improve the trails before ANYONE from the QuadFest gathering, could go on MOST of the trails! How do I know? I was one of the volunteers, one year... never EVER again, NOT ME!

i was there the week after quadfest in '07the track was ok, for the first 10 minutes. same with the drag strip, but thetrails were either literally riding around in a pine tree field or so rocky that they weren't fun for anyone but the most experienced guys. i had my wife and kids with me and they all are at least intermediate riders. they can ride anything available at rock run, tri county, etc. but 30 feet into the first black trail we had one front tire pointed at the sky and one rear tire and the rack submerged under water. there was no middle of the road. the trails were not very clearly marked, we just had an all around poor experience there.

Been there several times myself, they do have a giant place there, and would be be a first class atv riding area, but it is the fact that this was built on a strip mine and its all they have to work on, so lots of open riding, not a whole lot of woods, ect. found the blue trails to be the best, after a night of rain. Went to the last offical "quad fest" , was a great time with friends, but the trails were very dusty, but that was no fault of the park.

I will probably go back again for a benefit ride or something.

was there this past weekend the staff treated like crap one person rode atv like 10 feet to another campsite without helmet and the staff flipped out and told us to leave they are padded room material never go back
