ITP Steel Wheels

New ITP wheel don't look right. I posted pictures of the New ITP and My old wheels. 1st picture is the new ones notice the gap between the wheel and the hub. Then look at the way the wheel is made very little contact area. Next 2 are my old wheels see how the wheel is tight to the hub and how much contact area there is.

What does the other side of the new rim look like. I think I am in agreement with the others flip the tire/rim around and see how it mounts. Don't forget aftermarket rims usally come with a built in offset.

Nope the rim is mounted right. The other side has countersink for lug nuts.

Just got off the phone with ITP. They told me that the wheel is correct and I should have no trouble with them. " This is the way they have always been made." So we will see. Just looks like a lot of undue stress on hubs to me. I wish I knew of someone that has this wheel to see if they ever have had an issue. I read reviews on them before I went with these and most of them where good.

Thats doesnt look right at all but if they are saying its correct it may be.

Are the beads seated properly all the way around? I have also ordered tires before and had a bad batch. The had a flat spot on two of them and were cauisng a wicked vibration. Maybe look at that as well.

I would unmount them if you have the ability and install just the rim. Then jack up the quad and see if you still have the wobble. Should tell you directly then that the rim is the cause.

Ever install aftermarket hubs by chance?

Just my 2 cents , but if all else fails , put Slime in them . It may help balance them out ?

Nope same ones on there. And I sent the rear wheels and tires back for them to check. I just don't like the idea of the wheel sitting on only about an 1/8" of hub. But ITP says this is the way they have always made this wheel. Now when I say 1/8" just understand that the hub hits the wheel on the inner and outer part of the wheel. If you look at the 2nd picture it is the ITP wheel and notice the contact points. They are the 2 beads that run around the wheel. The hub only contacts these two beads. Just don't like it. Notice the rust from my hubs and that is the area of contact.

Your right. I think if everything is the same, ITP will find something wrong. It could have been a bad batch or mold
