Couldn't stand it anymore, after watching guys riding on, then off the road with no trailers, etc. I bought a used KTM 530EXC. My friends all ride atvs. Would love to find a couple people to ride with around Altoona or central PA. Anyone else riding dual sports?

I ride most every weekend during the summer weather permitting.
I ride a WRR, have a buddy with a KLR and his brother rides an EXC.
Couple other guys ride DR650s but only see them a couple times a year.

We do day and weekend rides, we pick a destination and then take all the backroads and trails we can find to get there and back.
Very little highway or single track, mostly backroads and dirt roads.
Last fall we took off to Kinzua Dam/Alleghany Forest.
A couple weeks later ended up near Renova.
A good seat and exra gas and even a small windscreen helps a lot on the trips.

I'm in Canoe Creek a couple guys from Lilly/Cresson area, Hlbg and Williamsburg.

My Dad and I ride dual sports in the summer. We have a Honda 230 and a Yamaha 225. They are a great way to see a lot of places you can't get to comfortably in a car or legally on a quad. Anything over 40 or 45 on our bikes begins to feel a bit uncomfortable. We enjoy riding around the Benezett and Driftwood areas. Lots of dirt roads and old logging roads that DON'T have "closed to motorized vehicles" signs. I tend to prefer riding on backroads and dirt roads. I am not as comfortable on the bike as I am my quad on the trails. It could be the bike...I'm sure it's not the rider! haha.
