MY SONS 2000 TRAILBLAZER 250 WILL START RIGHT UP AND RUN ALL
DAY LONG,HOWEVER WHEN YOU SHUT IT OFF AFTER IT GETS RODE FOR AWHILE IT
WILL NOT START BACK UP.IT JUST TURNS OVER BUT NEVER FIRES.SOUNDS LIKE
LOW COMPRESSION ON ENGINE ?...NEW TOP END ON ENGINE AND CARB REBUILT.
AFTER IT SITS FOR AWHILE IT WILL FIRE RIGHT UP.
ANY IDEAS ????????

Sounds like a fuel issue. I would be looking at the carb. Also check to ensure that the gas tank is not vapor locking. Ensure the vent hose for the tank is clear.


Horsepower is how fast you hit a wall. Torque is how far you move a wall.

Id agree with mcfly or possibly a electrical component going bad when it heats up it's shorting out like the coil but u would have to test it when it's doing it by checking for spark after you've ran it and it's hot

If it ran all day it would vapor lock long before the end of the day. I had some old three wheelers with the open close fuel caps and it never took longer than an hour before you created a vaccum to hold the fuel in the tank. Still, stranger things have happened, and they were 25 years old too, but drilled a hole in the cap, and it never happened again.

Does it have an electric fuel pump or is it gravity fed? Can you smell it flood out? If you cant smell it flooding then its probably fuel, if it floods out then its definitely spark. Wish I knew more about the bike. Keep us informed.
