This ride is set up as ATV tractions winter ride, will be a good ride to get to meet some other members along with other atv clubs.

I talked to Rick and was told to go ahead and post it here too, they welcome all.
Just one thing though, If you want to join in on the feast, please bring something to share and post here or email Rick that you are going so he can get a head count.

ATV TRACTION ANNUAL WINTER RIDE

ATV Traction Winter ride will be WEATHER PERMITTING will be Saturday Febuary 5, 2011. Meet at Timberline Trail Head 9am. I need some kind of a head count. Email me if you intend to show. atvtpresident@hughes.net Please Bring a dish to Pass. Members that do not attend Club Orginized rides are in my opion missing out. I have attended several over the years and have always had a good time and met new and interesting friends. One concern that I have heard about these rides is its a Race. We go to fast no chance to look around. Show up ride with us and we'll take it easy to enjoy the scenery or ride with the fast group. Hope to see everyone there.

Rick Burdick

President ATV Traction Inc.

Yo JACKWAGON I ride all year and I DON"T HAVE HEATED GRIPS!!!! How many of you POSERS have heated grips? LOL!!!! Its 3-3.5 hrs from Williamsport and I'm working on getting some guys together to go. LOL!!!! None of us have ever been there. I won't be racing though, I actually enjoy RIDING. Racing on a ride is like rushing a job to get done and get home to me. First off Riding gets me out and away from the house and in no way do I ever want riding to seem like a job I want to get done. LOL!! And I like the smileys. tongue rofl

Thanks for the invite . I'll do my best to get the time off and round up a couple more riders .
No heated grips here , but the 60 degree enclosed cab sure takes the bite outa the wind..... tongue haha

I'll get a couple gallons of chili for the COLD ride . Guaranteed you'll be ( passing ) more than eachother on the trail.... stinky rofl

Yo do they groom these trails? Or are the trails covered in 2 ft of snow this time of year. We did SNIRT one year and some of the guys say if its going to be like that screw it, so I might be alone, glad I found a friend to hang out with on this ride. This ride is going to be great.

I found this info . Maybe it can answer you question.
Go to the Allegheny National Forest web site . Then find the link for snowmobile trail conditions .
I did'nt find anything on the Marienville or Timberline trails listed as groomed.

I could call them and see if they would plow and salt them so that kittys belly fur domt git wet tongue rofl
But really, as long as we dont get dumped a foot or more snow the night before, they should be packed down. not sure what grooming is? , other than someone going in front of me to break in the trail. kold kutters are in, i'm ready to go

here's the web site, and read the section on firewood if your planning on tending a fire.

Snirt was NO FUN cause all we did the whole day was wait for the sport quads cause they couldn't move a foot with out rocking their sportquads left and right just to move. LOL!! Those sports were high centered the whole day on 2ft deep ruts. The ruts were so deep I don't think I had to steer the Cat all day, cause once you got in the ruts you couldn't get out until they were intersected with other ruts. The Utes had No problems in that stuff but the sport quads ruined a good day of riding. LOL!! Nobody in my group has a sportquad but if its going to be pulling sportquads all day and pushing them they would rather ride somewhere else, we got lots of other places to ride. LOL!!!
