If you can shell out a few extra dollars...look at the Pitbull Rockers. Best trail tire out there IMO

I've had Duro's on my Wolverine for 2 years and LOVE them!! I don't do much deep mudding either but they are great on loose, rocky trails and in snow. My Wolv in 2wd against my buddies 2wd Rancher with Mudlites: No contest in any trail conditions, I eat him up!! Just bought a set for my wife's Wolverine and will get them for my Grizz when the stockers wear out. I get them through Rocky Mountain ATV; best price with free shipping I've found.

Thanks all! I do appreciate the response. I'm getting closer....I have narrowed it down to BH2.0, Duro Power Grip, Terracross, and Sedona Ripsaws, maybe the pitbulls. I think there is one more out there (STI?) with similar tread design.

Now, I just have to look at costs/sizes and weights. I still have maybe a half inch of tread left on the stockers, should be gone by spring....

I have the Kenda Bearclaws HTR in a 26x9x12 and 26x11x12 with about 1100 miles on them. I would consider selling these if you are interested. I want to upgrade to a 27 or 28 inch wheel and tire package. They have no plugs in them. Fronts are damn near new looking and the backs have some wear but nothing crazy. I do like the tires. I cant say I love them because well this is my first machine and first set of tires I have ever used. They are one of the lighest 8ply radials out there and are very comfortable. They soak up the bumps pretty decent and they hook up well. Either way good luck with your search for the infamous perfect tire. This seems like on the most sought after thing and everyone has there own opinion.

I for one will NEVER own bighorns just for the simple fact that everyone does run them. I like to go against the grain. Thats why I tried the HTR's. I am also considering the ITP Blackwaters or the MSA EFX Moto mtc tire. Very similar to the bighorn but with a deeper thread.

I gotta give a big thumbs up to my Sedona Rip Saw tires. They have held up well and get tons of traction on every type of terrain. They only reason i won't get a second set is because, like you, i like to try different tires than what everyone else has. You may want to look at the Sedona Mud Rebel R/T. They look like they are just gonna work on everything...again!

My riding bud had the ITP BajaCross tires on his Teryx and went and got 14" rims and STI Black Diamond tires and really loves them.

We both have SXS so a quad may vary witht the comfort quality.

Good luck....for guys the decision is the same as a womans decision on curtains for the bedroom! LOL

I have the GBC Dirt Commanders in stock size on my 2012. I love em..., I have yet to use 4x4 on anything, including the thick muck out at M&M yesterday.

Thanks all yet again. Dirt commanders look decent. how do they measure in a 25? I was also considering 25" ripsaws instead of 26". I see that even cabelas sells ripsaws...Maybe I should use my cableas points...

I'm just not sure how much the tire weight would effect th epower of the brute. I like the brute's power and I'm not willing to give that up.
