Okay everyone...

Give me your two favorite riding spots in PA...

(1) State/Federal Funded

(1) Privately Funded...

My Riding in PA has been pretty limited so...

My Favorite spots would be

State - Rock Run, Patton, PA

Private - Tri County ATV, Heilwood, PA

WHISKEY SPRINGS AND BLOODY SKILLET come in as a tie, cause they're FREE!!!!!!
SSRT would be my favorite privately funded, cause I only pay $15 a year to ride there. LOL!!
OH and those three are with'n an hour of my house, another reason I enjoy riding these places sooooooooooooooo much and I'm cheap! LOL!!!

I'll have to go with Ranger.

Tri County - Great Club & lots of trails.

Rock Run - Because of the challenging trails.

Also because they're both within 2 hours of home.

State-
Rock Run for sheer milage and diversity. Although I don't like their confused alphanumeric trail marking system- what is up with that?? Haven't been to Whiskey Springs yet, so maybe that will change my mind once I ride there this year.

Private -
Trevorton/Shamokin - love the freedom there, being able to explore and discover new things by happenstance.
There's just a cool DIY rebel vibe there as well usflag rockin

Rock Run - Because of the challenging trails.

Have they added new trails to Rock Run?
In my opinion, they never had challenging trails.
The best trails there, were before they built the park.

My number one would be MURF.
My number two would be Rock Run i guess. But i think rock run needs to make some major improvements. The price to get in is the worst part of all.

The Only real fed or state place has been to ANF, and been on some state forest and some other state ground crazedshotgun ranger winking around camp. I like ANF becouse it can be relaxing, on some trails to downright beating on others, and if you break down, you dont just get towed to the next intersection and make a left to the parking area, the trail covers a LOT of area.
Would like to hit spraul, and snowshoe some time too.
Hoping for the armstrong trails to be a reality soon, that ones only a few miles away.

For Fed/state I like ANF for the amount of miles you can ride, not much challenge except in the winter.

Private trails it is a toss up between Snow Shoe and ATV Traction's Venango county trails.

Now there is a real private trail north of Brookville I rode with some good old boys late one winter night that is my most memorable ride.

Marienville Bike Trail, 2 laps a day'll do ya. banana - close second, Rocky Gap

Private - Callensburg poker run trails are really fun, Venango Traction trails are good, too.

In the past three years I've only ridden at:

Bloody Skillet
Whiskey Springs
Lyman Run (Potter County)
Snow Shoe Rails to Trails
and
Rock Run

Of these, Bloody Skillet is probably my favorite because of the diversity of trails, obstacles and play areas. And I still haven't seen the whole place.

I also like Snow Shoe Rails to Trails. According to the 2011 SSRTA newsletter, a link between these two systems is supposed to be completed in late spring 2011.

Never been to a state riding area

The only private club I was with was Tri County. They started the club on trails I grew up on.

My favorite has to be Whiskey Springs. It just never gets old and we go there alot!
Too many close seconds. We ride Windber,Ramey and Blue Knob.
I haven't been up to what we refer to as Murph lately. State game commission bought up the section inbetween Murph and the Lemon House, so it has made it into a small ride. And now some a-hole bought the lower section by my house and cut down trees to block the paths. Just like the idiots at the PA Game Commission...the paths are already there...who are we hurting?

Sorry about the rant. bustedass

Mines and Meadows. Only been once so far, and didn't hit all the trails, but it was a pretty good ride.

I really like Rock Run and Mountain Ridge. Mines & Meadows is decent too. Not too crazy about DCNR trail systems.
