Going from 749cc to 783cc. I don't know why they just don't go up to an 850 to attract new buyers... Still better than nothing.

Back in the day , Kawasaki was an industry leader . Now they seem to be a wait and see company . Just look at thier youth quads , UTV features or the racing circuit machines . Maybe it's from all the lawyers & litigation in our sport ? Polaris & Can Am seem to be the cutting edge industry leaders now .

I'm sure I only speak for myself on this , but other than the wide open deserts out west , I don't really see a need for the 1000cc engines . Most of the trails in Pa. , you would be hard pressed not to kiss a tree if you went more than 25 mph . Most of those larger engines can move those machines to 80-90-100 mph . Bad things happen real fast at those speeds on trails here in the east . Personally , I would like to see the wheel travel of the RZR 900 on a special edition of a Teryx . That and geared to handle 28 -30 inch tires would give about 18 inches of ground clearence for a REAL Terrain & Rock Crawling taming machine ... happydance

OK , I'm ready for my beating now from all our speed demons out there ... doorscared more

I like longevity. I have to say deep down I will always be a Polaris guy, but I am completely satisfied with the Teryx. It still has yet to leave me sitting or cost me $$$. Probabally because I didn't let ANY dealer's service dept. touch it.

I think an 800 would be perfect for the machine. I agree with the cc's getting ridiculous. More power than you need, wasting gas and more pollution in the air. But it comes at a cost...as in they really don't have any more money in making a 1000 as compared to an 800, but yet they charge you thousands more???

OK...off topic now so I'll shut up! LOL

I dont know that I totally agree with that. The Teryx 4 is by no means a "wait and see" product. It is nothing like the Polaris 4 seater in any way other than they are both called a UTV. I have a T4 and I am honestly not very brand loyal but for the tight trails we have here in PA I dont think any other 4 seater comes close. Mine is a 2012 so it has the 750 and makes plenty of power. Especialy in 4x4 low. no problem rock crawiling or climbing. My only complaint is the crap wheel wells and floor boards that keep breaking from sticks. They really need to beef these up to the same standards they use in the frame. I think kawi is doing a nice job. I would love to see Yamaha make a 4 seater as well!
