Here is where I am:
Moved up to 162 main
4th groove right now, may move to 3 from the top on stock needle as its a ;little rich(i'd recommend 3rd from top if installing a 160-162 jet.
mixture screw at 2 turns out

NOW TO FIX THE BOG!

Some are using o rings, but I want more permanent fix...
so drilled a small hole in the accelerator pump cam, just big enough to fit mechanics wire through and then tightened up around the adjustment screw. Works better than the o rings IMO since there is NO play as the o rings tend to stretch.
Still more tinkering to do, but for $5 (162 jet) and a little time, can't beat it. JD Jet kit will be coming, just not now. The bogging is the biggest problem it seems.

what kind of mods have you done on this?

this is a run down on mine, which i saved some time ago in case i forgot

Look on the hmf site also, it will give you a good starting point. it says 150 for mine.

Mines only at a 152, stock needle at stock setting. and air mix 2 turns out.
other than those changes, i just fiddle with my idle speed screw to get it more close to the weather changes
(lower idle when cold, and higher when hot out)at 0-1/4 throttle.

FMF QRS pipe and filter and box has been reworked ,only changes made.

Opened the muffler (debaffle) and K&N air filter with pre-cleaner screen. That's it.

I was stalling out all day when I needed to stab the throttle whether hopping through puddles or popping the front up over downed trees.

Seemed no one really kept any record of their stock stuff...everyone has a jet kit. But the bog isn't related to the needles or the jetting! Its simply the accelerator pump. They actually recommend up to 170, but I think the 162 I used is still a tad rich but definitely doable. Local dealer I use didn't have the 160 so 162 it is!

Hey...it fixed it!
