NWORC has about 12 miles of trails, so itís 12 up, 12 back. Itís a nice, smooth and scenic trail.

I bet, with more riding opening up, it will get more busy. Too bad the hotel couldn't have held out longer, but it seems the building was too far gone.

Sad to see it go. It needed a make over, but it had some unique features like Mike mentioned, the trail access.
Having a restaurant on the premises was a plus also. The food was good when I was there.

The history of the hotel is interesting also. Apparently, it was originally built by a relative of Richard Nixon .

The problem is since the trails are ATV summer only, without snow, there is no business, which I am sure is what hurt them. Winters haven't been what they used to be, the area does have a lot of snowmobile trails, even at the one trail head shows 43 miles for ATV, 250 miles for snowmobiles.

It has been noticed the campground hasn't been keeping up with maintenance.

Itís tough to run a business on a short season , when you have expenses all year long.

Hopefully, some of the other hotels will benefit from the potential increased business and welcome ATV riders.

I called a couple places before I decided on the Potato City Country Inn. One hotel was less than welcoming when I asked if they had parking for a vehicle with an ATV trailer.
